MAVLab wins the alphapilot ai challenge

The reviewers and the award committee considered the work as an important step towards autonomous detect and avoid methods on drones. They also appreciated the open access nature of the data we have gathered within PercEvite.

SESAR-FUNDED U-Space Technology Wins Prestigious Drone Tech Award

A team of researchers from TU Delft and ENAC has won the overall 1st prize at the outdoor competition of the International Micro Air Vehicle conference and competitions, held in Melbourne, Australia. The technology used at the competition has been developed by TU Delft within the context of the SESAR JU-funded U-space PercEvite project, which has as goal to provide even small commercial drones with sense-and-avoid capabilities. This will help with safe integration of drones in our environment.
